The Colony’s list of distinguished guests over six is truly impressive for a small, “small town” hotel. Soon after opening after World War II, The Colony became the winter residence of the Duke and Duchess of Windsor for several years. Thus began a long and varied list of European Royalty, Heads of State, Captains of Industry, a few movie stars and most of Broadway. Some notable guests:
